The Keleti Faculty of Óbuda University places strategic emphasis on the knowledge of international practices, their overall understanding, comparison with Hungarian practices, and the identification and application of the best solutions either in education or R&D.

The University and the Faculty are eager to continuously spread these ideas that can be used directly in practice. Getting acquainted with the best and most efficient methods of international partners and its application in Hungarian usage is in line with this effort.

According to this, the Keleti Faculty of Óbuda University, as part of ERASMUS+ programme, organised the “New Challenges of the 21^st Century” international week for the fifth time between 21 and 24 of November. Foreigner professors were invited from European partner countries and ERASMUS+ credit mobility Programme Countries.

English lectures and seminars could be attended freely for students and teachers alike, who have been interested. During the programme 800 vignettes have been given out to students that they collected for every lecture they have attended. The lectures and seminars were held at the university’s campus at Tavaszmező street and Népszínház street.

The programme offered different kind of interesting and useful lectures in various topic, like innovative start-ups, digital marketing, communications, regional competitiveness, sustainable development, non-profit organisations, business simulation, business plan, statistical tools, quality management, study abroad, cross-cultural differences for students.

The international week’s programme is widely known and famous among students and professors from abroad. This semester lecturers and professors came from Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Vietnam. Up to 12 lecturers held lectures and seminars during the week. 

The guest lecturers even attended at the closing event of the week on 25^th November, which was the FIKUSZ International Symposium for Young Researchers as plenary session lecturer Pascal Ricordel (Le Havre University, France), as section chair Florin Duma (Babeş-Bolyai University, Romania) and as participants Ksenia Baimakova (State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Russia), Plamena Palamarova (University of Economics in Varna, Bulgaria), Beáta Kádár (Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Romania) and Predrag Djordjević (University of Belgrade, Serbia).
