Kedves Hallgatók!
Ajánlom figyelmetekbe a Hochschule Ulm részletes tájékoztatóját, az ott elérhető páklyázatokról, lehetőségekről!
We are happy to send you some information on our application procedure for what we call the fall-semester 2020/21 (September/October – December/February).
We are offering the following options for your students:
A) 3-Month-Programs:
During the fall semester we offer our International Mechanical Engineering Program (IMEP) which runs from October till December. Students may arrive already in September to take one of the following
intensive courses:
- German language intensive course (A1)
- Ankommen in Deutschland - Language and Culture (Previous knowledge of A2 required)
- NEW: Mathematics for Engineers Intensive Course
B) Semester Programs:
We are offering several semester programs in different departments.
Please note: Semester Programs mean that courses start at the beginning of October and end in Mid-February
Mixing those courses with the IMEP program will not be possible.
The complete list of English taught courses can be found in the annex or on our webpage:
www.hs-ulm.de/internationals (Downloads). We will update the brochures constantly but students can use the 2019-version of the brochures.
C) Practical trainings / internships / final thesis
Students could also come to THU for a practical semester, internship or project work (Bachelor or Master thesis) in one of our laboratories. In this case, we would need to get some information on the student’s interests and qualification. The students may have a look on the different institutes on our web page and let us know in which research field they are interested in. Please send us beforehand a scanned letter of motivation, a CV and a transcript of records so that we can ask different professors in our departments to find a suitable tutor.
D) German taught programs:
Students who speak German can study in any of our Bachelor Programs. The module description of the German taught classes may be found here
https://studium.hs-ulm.de/de/Seiten/UebersichtBachelor.aspx
(at the specific degree course – downloads)
Students should have at least a German level of B2.
E) Master programs
Students with a Bachelor degree or an equivalent of minimum 210 ECTS are welcome to select courses form our Master programs. NEW - Please note: the Master program in Medical Devices – Research and Development will be taught in English from now on.
Nomination/Application:
Students should be nominated by their home universities first. Please send us the enclosed nomination list if possible before 25th of March. We will then send them the link to our online application form.
Application Deadlines:
The deadline for students to apply for the next fall semester is May 1st.
It will not be possible to apply after this date.
Language:
Incoming students should be able to follow lectures in English or German (B2 level).
We are offering an intensive language course during 2 weeks in September. During the semester we are offering additional language courses in 4 different levels.
The participation in the semester language courses is mandatory for all exchange students.
Housing:
We will do our best to provide housing in one of our student dormitories regarding the wishes, the students mark in the housing request form. However, the situation in Ulm has become very difficult and we cannot guarantee that we will find housing for all students. If students are able to find an accommodation by themselves, they should let us know as soon as possible.
More Information:
Students should also have a look on our web page to get more information about living and studying in Ulm.
